Bruno Tedeschi joined Jaffe Communications in 2009 as a principal to the firm. Described as the “always cool” Tedeschi in PolitickerNJ’s 2013 Power List, he is a consummate communications professional.
A generalist who is well versed in traditional, new and emerging media, Mr. Tedeschi has extensive experience in media relations, crisis communications, strategic messaging, public affairs campaigns and political consulting.
At Jaffe, Mr. Tedeschi has worked with a variety of clients, from Fortune 50 companies to community-based non-profit organizations. He has initiated, developed, executed and lead proactive media relations campaigns that influenced public perception locally and statewide. Mr. Tedeschi has also has experience in rapid response, speech writing and campaign messaging through his work on political campaigns, including the successful 2013 campaign of Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop.
Mr. Tedeschi’s has built dozens of websites on Joomla, an open-source content management system and has also produced videos, including a promotional film for the NFL Superbowl Host Committee highlighting the contributions of the Snowflake Youth Foundation in Newark.
He has taught media studies at Rutgers University in Newark as an adjunct professor and is called upon frequently to give presentations before large audiences, including the Newark Regional Business Partnership, about communications and social media strategies for businesses and non-profits.
Prior to joining Jaffe Communications, Mr. Tedeschi was an award-winning newspaper reporter and editor in New Jersey for nearly two decades. He worked as a municipal reporter, environmental writer and State House correspondent. He was the bureau chief for the State House bureau of The Record and the city editor of The Star-Ledger, the state’s largest newspaper.
Mr. Tedeschi is a graduate of Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., with a dual undergraduate degree in chemistry and philosophy and earned his graduate degree in journalism from New York University. He is a member of the Leadership New Jersey Class of 2012.
In his free time, Bruno is an avid swimmer, biker and runner and competes in triathlons.
