Master Class #40: Meet Our New Best Friend

Hey, sometimes we tend to be old school.  Yeah, we may be caught reading an actual newspaper that is actually thrown on our driveway and then actually brought in the house and put on the kitchen table for all to enjoy.

But compare that old gray lady to all the goodies you can find on Substack? It just doesn't compare, we are sad to say.
 
For those who don't know. Substack is a terrific email marketing platform that reporters  use to write newsletters and share some amazing work with 24-7 news junkies, like us.
 
As writers, we are now creating our very own Substacks to build more relationships with our clients and other friends, while showcasing our creativity on this really, really fun platform.
 
Also, reporters love it when we reference their work on Substack, showing we are engaged and supportive of their fine work. It is also a great way to pitch clients, as these reporters are always looking for something new and awesome to write about. 
 
We also use Substack to supplement and update our media lists, which we find to be outdated on platforms like Cision, which are really expensive and don't deliver at the level of a fast-paced PR firm. (Hear that Cision?)
