Pamela Brownstein uses her extensive media experience to map strategies that help professional-services clients achieve their communications goals.

Her mission is to raise her clients’ visibility by assessing where they are and where they need to be, and then helping to guide their growth through communications. She has spent her career turning out valuable, well-written and concise content, making information and messages easily understandable to sophisticated professionals and everyday people alike.

Pamela’s communications strategies are unique to each client. Whether it be through website content, a communications strategy, media relations or expert commentary, she moves quickly to meet changing developments and to position her clients as the go-to professionals in their fields.

And Pamela knows the type of content that catches the attention of editors and reporters.

She is particularly familiar with professional services firms, having served as executive editor of the New Jersey Law Journal, a division of the ALM Media news and business data chain.

Pamela supervised daily coverage of topics from landmark legal issues to market influences on law firms. She also headed up a lively op-ed page and, in that capacity, frequently helped lawyers articulate their stands on a rich mix of viewpoints. Pamela also engaged in strategic planning and created innovative and successful products. In addition, she edited books, including one by former New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Daniel O’Hern.

Among other previous roles, Pamela was a federal courthouse reporter and business writer for the Associated Press. She covered court cases, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, FBI and related law-enforcement agencies. In addition, she reported on New Jersey corporations—from global pharmaceutical companies to entrepreneurial endeavors.

Pamela also serves as a speaker in the business community. Her recent presentations include a talk on “Raising Your Profile in the Media” before the New Jersey Professional Services Marketing Group. She also moderated a panel discussion for the Association for Corporate Growth/N.J. Chapter.

In addition, she has been a guest speaker before journalism and other classes at Rutgers University and Seton Hall University.

Outside of work, Pamela uses her editing/writing background to deliver pro bono presentations to urban high school students on how to write a college-admissions essay.

Pamela graduated from Colby College in Maine with a B.A. in government. Later, she was selected as a participant in the Herbert J. Davenport Fellowship in Business and Economics Reporting at the University of Missouri.

She and her husband, Kenneth Lipstein, have two sons.
